December 13, 2015

Central Statistics Organization as the only organization to collect data and statistical information at the national level has launched Socio-Demographic and Economic survey from the past few years and had covered several provinces so far. Takhar is one of the provinces where SDES survey has been conducted and right now its data and information has been entered to computer after three stages- correction, coding and data entry.

Correction, coding and data entry processes of Socio-Demographic and Economic survey of Takhar province will be done by 147 qualified personnel, who took part in the implementation of Kabul’s SDES survey in the past, and right now engaged in their activities which will last for two months.

Data entry which is a process to transfer data from forms into computer, this will be done by 76 individuals and its work will be divided into two stages:

First stage is a single entry or initial entry that enters all collected data into computer and then to ensure its preciseness, double entry or re-entry will be done in order to ensure that data has been entered correctly and without any mistake into system.

To change data into electronic version, this allows policy maker institutions and organizations to access the required data and information without wasting time and also enables them to utilize theses information in the preparation of different development programs.

Central Statistics Organization realising the importance of statistics and data, will publish the final results of this survey after its compilation and analysis in order to be used.
