On 4 August 2010, the Central Statistics Organization (CSO) launched its Micro-data Access Policy. This will allow users to obtain and use the raw data from selected surveys, and thereby increase the amount of analyses and information available about Afghanistan, which can be used for many purposes including policy-making.
The Central Statistics Organization has established these procedures to facilitate the use of raw data for research while maintaining the confidentiality of information supplied by respondents.
The policy describes the purpose, the procedure for applying data, and responsibilities of users.
